Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
¾ cup sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup mini marshmallows or marshmallow fluff
½ cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–30 minutes) until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
When the ice cream is nearly done churning, gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chunks. If using marshmallow fluff, swirl it in with a spatula instead of mixing it completely.
Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight for a firmer texture.
Let sit for 5–10 minutes before scooping, then serve in bowls or cones with extra marshmallows and chocolate on top if desired.
Notes
For an extra chocolatey touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the ice cream before serving.
If using marshmallow fluff, warm it slightly to make it easier to swirl into the ice cream.
Store in an airtight, freezer-safe container for up to two weeks for the best taste and texture.
For a nutty twist, add chopped almonds or pecans.
No ice cream maker? Freeze the mixture and stir every 30 minutes for 3 hours to prevent ice crystals.
